Getting ready for colder days

This post is sponsored together with Polarn & Pyret.

I had the honor to take some photos for Polarn & Pyret and their thermal layers, and it was so much fun to really see the natural material come to light while the kids were playing in it. Moving around, jumping upside down, drinking juice, reading books, exploring our plants. Usually we come up with photo ideas together and we make something fun out of it, its one way for us to enjoy and spend time together.

Fall, where it all ends, where it all begins.

This post is proudly presented together with Polarn & Pyret.

Isn't fall the time of the year when we all settle for a more quiet and calm season. I really look forward to the stillness, the light, it's like nature reminds us all of a new beginning and it all starts here.

We live so close to a forest, these pictures are taken just outside of our doorstep, and I wanted to take out the kids to try a little experiment.

Swedish kids are brought up on rosehip soup, something we always bring with us outdoor when it is getting colder, just to stay warm. Its pretty hard to make on your own and its so sweet so I wanted to try to make my own energy soup for the kids. So instead I bought Swedish organic sea buckthorn and sweetened it with honey and the kids loved it. They tried both versions but they just loved the sea buckthorn so I will definitely continue to make that for all our coming fall adventures.

My little one is exploring here fall like never before, she's a collector, her hoarding actually led to a creative project at nursery (they didn't know where to put all her treasures anymore) where they removed all toys and exchanged the with stones, leafs, sticks, acorn, rose hips. They saw that the kids started to explore their new toys and became more creative, how cool is that.

We were asked by Polarn & Pyret to try out their new wool collection and my kids have always been wearing wool thermal layers from Polarn & Pyret. I love how wool just warm up your body as soon as you put it on. How quickly it becomes one with your body, like an extra layer of comfort and calm in a way.

This weekend it was still warm outside, but for the coming months we will need another two or three layers of clothes to stay warm och cosy. But for now I'm just going to enjoy the warmth from the sun, and pour another hot bowl of sea buckwheat soup. You just have to try it.

If you want to go a little bit more wild add sour sea buckwheat just as they are and eat together with tiny crunchy almond cookies. It would also go perfect with some softly whipped cream or ice cream on top.

Summer will fall

Fall is really here and it always takes me by surprise. We went outdoor to really celebrate the start of something new!

I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m going! Are you coming with me? I love to be on the way, as long as it’s in my own pace, my own song, my own beat. Where are you heading? Do you like to move forward? Or do you appreciate when time sands still? We are on the move again. Today we said goodbye summer, and hello fall. Fall is so wonderful so I don’t mind, another adventure is comping, and I’m already on my way!

One of our favorite places close by is at Rosendals' Garden Foundation, we love the farm to fork concept, and they plant beautiful flowers that you can pick and pay per hekto gram. If the wind is cold or rain is coming, it's nice to curl up under a blanket in one of the wonderful green houses and have a warm soup or a cinnamon bun. Before we went home we bough some biodynamic vegetables in the farmshop and bread from their own wood fire bakery.

This beautiful place has been a gem for our family for years and we always come back when we want to get in the spirit for the season. Its also ok just to bring your own lunch and sit anywhere on a blanket among the many old apple trees.

All I see is pretty

Hi pretty people! As you might have seen I started a new hashtag at Instagram called #alliseeispretty because that's what matters the most to me when I take photos. I want to find the pretty in everything I do. It can be dark, moody and quiet, but the word pretty is how I capture the feeling.

Another reason for me to create this post was to find another way to encourage my friends at Instagram to follow and use the hashtag to keep up with all the amazing work that we create together. There are so many hashtags but I hope this one will be filled with a lot of wonderful pretty pictures from around the globe. A hashtag that can grow organically as time goes by, something to go to when you needinspiration or when you want to connect with beautiful souls.

The British poured their tea instead of coffee first

When the instagram feed was in chronological order, it was easy to follow your friends around the globe. You could track every first cup of coffee in the morning, everything followed the rhythm of the sun. When I woke up I could see morning cups of coffees from my friends in Australia and Asia and as the day went by my lovely friends in US was seeing a new dawn, pouring their first cup. Everyone around Europe followed the same routine as I did. Only the British poured their tea instead of coffee first.

It was kind of magical. But now things are changing and I'm trying to stay positive and adopt to the new roads that Instagram is taking for us. To be able to show of your work, hashtags is a great way of staying on top of whats happening on Instagram, because they still works in chronological order. All except for the nine top pictures that changes and looks different for everyone but usually you find some great work there and pictures that the people of Instagram likes, and I like it too! But don't forget about the rest of the posts further down.

Back to my hashtag #alliseeispretty. It already has more than 300 posts and its getting more and more wonderful as we speak. I wanted to kick of this blog (I have been thinking about blogging for a while now) with posting a few of my favorites fro the hashtag there. I will continue to do that, so please support the content there and we will all benefit! Below is a collection of pictures from the hashtag #alliseeispretty. If you click on a photo you will go directly to the artists’ Instagram gallery.

For me, Instagram has always been about the love of art and beautiful connections. I have met so many friends at Instagram and I love this creative corner of the world that you can freely show your art, exactly the way you like it.

I’m not sure what my blog will be about but I think I will write about thing that brings happiness, love and pretty. I work full time as a photographer, stylist and instagrammer. I want to show my work here but also more of what I do everyday. I want to show pictures that matters and I wish to write warming words about comfort, joy and pretty that wants to be read by pretty souls like you.

A little fine art print shop

I’m happy to have you here, so please stay for a while. I have a lot of photos on my web site. And I also have a little fine art print shop. If you wish to get a print from me that is not in the shop, just let me know and I can sort it out for you.

If there is anything that you want to know about me, how I photograph, how lights matters, when I take pictures, more about my family, what my favorite cafe is or simply anything, just let me know. I will try to make this blog that is larger than me and something for all of us, because all I see is pretty. Let's start from there.

Love Malin
